This unique and practical 2-day workshop offers something for beginning woodcarvers, advanced woodcarvers and everyone in-between. The classes are laid out to allow flexibilty in both project and pace. They are kept small so that the instructor can offer individual attention and students may progress at their own rate. Joe's educational background in art education and over a quarter century of woodcarving experience lend him the ability to instruct an insightful woodcarving course on the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard.

Carving Workshop
Each workshop covers a series of topics including understanding of wood, design, layout, lamination, tool handling and sharpening, finishes and 23xx gold leafing. You will learn the proper techniques by carving your own project. We offer the option of carving either an Eagle or Quarterboard. After the class is over the woodcarving is yours to take home and complete.

Tuition
The tuition of this two day workshop is $550.00 for Quarterboards and $700.00 for eagles. The workshop begins at 8:00am each day and goes until 5:00pm. Lunch will be supplied and served mid-day for all course participants.

Supplies
Sugar pine is used for both Quarterboards & Eagles. Students are encouraged to bring their own tools. However, we can supply tools if necessary.
